A Power Run is a simple service that we provide. A Power Run enables you to check the power output of your car. It is a test that sweeps through a RPM range and records the power as it goes. Data is produced in the form of a graph which can be produced in a way of your choice. All data is standardized for cross comparison, meaning that you can compare your data from different days regardless of weather changes that would affect your engines performance. The test is performed three times; once to warm up the engine, tires and steel rollers that the car is mounted on and two more times to produce an accurate result. It is the most common service that we do and is one of the main reasons for using a Rolling Road. |

The mapping service is something that we offer to customers that have purchased a third party ECU and wish to have it setup by a professional Dyno technician. We request that all relevant documentation be provided before the booking takes place in order for us to familiarize ourselves with your software. All ECUs are, in principle, the same but the way that the software controls the ECU differs between different manufacturers. We regret that we are unable to re-map stock ECUs. Although we do our very best to accurately quote the time in which will take to complete a map there are circumstances where we will overrun on the time quoted. In these instances, we shall always discuss with the customer how they would like to proceed. All map work starts and ends with a Power Run. This is to validate any improvements claimed and is included in the price charged to map your vehicle. |

We can offer a simple low level diagnostic which means that we will attempt to diagnose problems with your engine by checking the A/F Ratio and other basic tests. This can usually indicate where the problem may lie but will not always be able to exactly pinpoint what is causing the problem. It is a very good way to rule out many possible problems quickly leaving only a few to look further into. |

VargenRad can also offer the facility to read ECU fault codes whilst simulating various road conditions. This is more extensive than a basic test as it allows us to use the built-in diagnostics facilities that all cars possess that were manufactured after 1997 and possess and OBD-II port. It is a function that all modern ECUs have and can report on a wide range of electrical and mechanical faults making the process of diagnostics easier and more accurate. |
